When I started preparing to write my first book “ᴛʜᴇ ᴏɴʟʏ ʀᴇᴀsᴏɴ ᴡʜʏ ᴍᴇɴ ᴄʜᴇᴀᴛ “, I registered for a course on e-book writing and publishing. In that class, I learnt that there are two different kinds of authors: The Bestselling Authors and The Best Writing Authors. The best selling authors might as well be Best writers but being a Bestselling author is never always as a result of being the best writer.
My coach then said to us, it is up to you which one you want to be. A bestselling author or a best writing author and I chose to be a bestselling author. I went on to take another course on how to become a best selling author.
My first book became #1 bestseller in it’s category and my second book was also a bestseller on Amazon.. Just yesterday, I received a payment notification for last month from Amazon. Now you understand the difference between A bestselling author and Best writing Author right?
In music, it is exactly the same principle at work. There are essentially two kinds of artistes. The ones who wants to show the world that they can sing and the ones who simply want to connect with the world through their music. The ones who want to connect with the world might as well be great singers but being able to connect with the world is not always as a result of being a great singer. You have to decide which artiste you want to be. This knowledge will make all the difference and separate you from the rest of the others.
