Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s Presidental candidate, has pleaded with the federal government to refrain from using Nigerians as pawns “in the current war of titans over the redesign of the naira.”
In a press release issued by his media assistants in Abuja on Tuesday, Atiku made the request.
The Federal Government, according to him, had a responsibility to act quickly to ensure that commercial banks did not turn into roadblocks to “the well-thought-out concept of naira redesign.”
The former vice president condemned the fact that the country had experienced widespread worry due to the country’s commercial banks’ poor implementation of the naira redesign strategy.
