Terrible Midnight Fire ruins an electronic shop called peelinks Elec Ro-World lTD in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State.
The incident occurred almost 48 hours after a petrol tanker accident that killed not less than 28 people in Lokoja.
People gathered that the midnight fire started from a power surge which setout around 11:30pm on Friday.
The electronic shop was located close to the firefighter station.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency confirmed that some shops were gutted by fire late Friday night at the plank section of the market.
Mr Nosa Okunbor, Head, Public Affairs, LASEMA said that the cause of the fire remained unknown.
Okunbor said that the fire was combated head-on by firefighters from the LASEMA Response Unit and the Federal Fire Services.
The fire left many residents watching helplessly as the building burned to ruins. Some of them were heard shouting ‘Fire Service no get use’.
