Mali Overnight Attack Killed Three Security Operatives.
An Overnight attack that occurred in the village of Birga-Peul near the town of Koro, Central Mali, killed three National Security Operatives on Tuesday night.
A security official said, Three national guardsmen were killed in an attack in central Mali on Tuesday night, in the recent violence to hit the turbulent region.
He also said that Unidentified gunmen ambushed the guardsmen at around 11 p.m in the village of Birga-Peul near the town of Koro, by the border with Burkina Faso, killing three.
The militants also burnt down two vehicles and took off with another, added the official, who refused his name to be mention.
Mali has been struggling to defeat a jihadist insurgency which surfaced in 2012 which has now spread into neighbouring Burkina Faso and Niger.
Central Mali has become a focal point of the conflict, which has claimed thousands of lives of soldiers and civilians in the country.
