God Is Faithful By Simply Gabriel. “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:9
There were many times I came close to giving up in life, in fact so close as losing my life but God showed up in my defense.
January 16th 2018 was one of such days. My daughter had gone swimming and had a near fatal crises.
By the time I got there, she didn’t remember her name anymore, couldn’t tell where she was or what happened to her. Had her eyes open, but couldn’t see me nor anything else.
“Who are you?” she asked me. I had to introduce myself to her as her dad, then she cried out “daddy please help me, I can’t see… I’m afraid”
The next thing I heard was “are you looking at her? She is dying…” Fear flooded my heart but then I held on to her. I was lost and torn in between prayers and trying to talk to her, so as to keep her conscious…A short while later “daddy I can’t breathe” she gasped.
She had oxygen mask placed on her to support her breath and a few moments afterwards, the oxygen failed her…There was panic as she went silent and suddenly too heavy for me to carry… She had passed on…I literally watched my daughter die in my hands, but God showed me mercy (as my brother and I summoned courage to pray for her) and raised her back to life!
Few minutes later, the paramedics arrived with their ambulance and rushed her to the hospital.
Then God impressed it in my heart, if the ambulance had arrived earlier, we would have be telling a different story…I would have been mourning today rather then celebrating and telling this story from the angle of gratitude.
God is faithful was born out this experience and other personal (countless) encounters of God showing himself faithful and strong on my behalf.
I wrote this song to declare his faithfulness towards me and all whose trust is in him.
Irrespective of what the situation maybe, when we cry to him, he will always answer and prove himself faithful.
“Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.” Psalms 36:5.
It is my hope and desire that as many that listens and joins me to sing this song (you inclusive), will encounter his faithfulness in the most unusual way in Jesus Name Amen.”
